§ 01Shape story

The T-EGG started as a single-fin egg that was already glassed when Jeff decided to switch to a twin layout. The result was a midlength volume with long parallel rails for drive, twin pivot for flow, and enough range to take the same board from waist-high beachbreaks to overhead point days. The travel board the bay would pick if it could only pack one.

Trim runs long. Rail-to-rail is wide and confident. Twins keep it loose where the volume would otherwise lock you in.

§ 04Construction

Every tier uses the same outline files. The price difference is the hand on the foam, not the geometry.

Hand-shaped

×1.00 base

Signed by Jeff

Foam to gloss in the McCallum bay.

Foam blank, hand-tools, no machine. Shaped, glassed, sanded and signed under the same roof. The most expensive way to make a board, and — for some shapes — the only way they actually feel right.

Lead time
1014 wks
For
Surfers who want the original, with all the marks the hand leaves behind.

Slightly less consistent dimension to dimension than CNC. That is the point.

Computer-cut

×0.78 base

Stamped, not signed

CNC-roughed in the McCallum file, finished by hand.

The blank is rough-cut by a CNC machine from a McCallum scan, then finished, glassed and detailed by the bay. Lower cost, near-perfect dimensions, hand finish on the rails and tail.

Lead time
69 wks
For
Surfers who want McCallum geometry without the hand-shaping premium.

Reads cleaner than a hand-shape. Same outline, slightly different soul.

Ghost-shaped

×0.62 base

Marked, not signed

McCallum outline, anonymous shaper.

A McCallum shape, machined or hand-finished by a vetted shaper outside the bay. Same files, different hand. We mark it as ghost-shaped because pretending otherwise would be a lie.

Lead time
46 wks
For
Surfers who want the shape, accept the trade, and value transparency.

Quality is rigorously controlled. Provenance is not the same.

§ 05Common questions
Why is one option greyed out?
Because that combination doesn't exist as a McCallum shape. Hover the option to see why — usually it's a fin setup that doesn't match the tail, or a tier that the model isn't built in.
Can I save my configuration?
Yes — every configuration has its own URL. Save the link, share it with a friend, or email it to the bay. We can pick it up from there.
Is the price final?
It is an estimate. The total locks when the bay confirms feasibility — usually within 48h of submission. You only pay once it's locked.
